What we did
Collaborating with graphic design studio Accept & Proceed and working with the Nike Global Design Team, Aldworth James & Bond fabricated key elements within Nike Town in Berlin. After a speedy build, our biggest ever overseas team of designers, carpenters, makers and applied artists headed out to Berlin for the site install.
The installations were challenging and varied. Features included an eight metre infinity mirror depicting the Berlin stadium athletics track, a ‘Waffle Wall’ made of 4000 hand crafted concrete blocks, suspended sculptures of Michael Jordan installed with the artist Michael Murphy, and numerous specialist decoration pieces around the three storey store.
The Nike Team constantly push for innovative creative solutions in both concept and execution, and it was fantastic to work on such a prestigious retail environment with such client passion for the creative build process.
