Berlin Flagship Nike Town
What we did
Collaborating with graphic design studio Accept & Proceed and working with the Nike Global Design Team, Aldworth James & Bond created the key brand moments for the new flagship Nike Town in Berlin. After an intense build over the Christmas period in our Greenwich Workshops, our biggest ever overseas team of designers, carpenters, makers and applied artists headed out to Berlin for the site install.
The installations were challenging and varied, including large scale, mixed media executions finished to the exacting standards of the brand. We successfully completed, on deadline for store opening, an eight metre Infinity Mirror depicting the Berlin Stadium athletics track, Waffle Wall made of 4000 hand crafted concrete blocks, ‘Broken’ suspended sculptures of Michael Jordan installed with the artist Michael Murphy, and numerous specialist decoration pieces around the three storey store.
The Nike Team constantly push for innovative creative solutions in both concept and execution, and it was fantastic to work on such a prestigious retail environment with such client passion for the creative build process.
