What we did

Aldworth James & Bond were approached by longterm client and friend IYA Studio – a Deptford-based creative agency who invited us to collaborate on a new project for Argent. The project, Lower Stable Street, is a destination for retail and culture located in Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross. The retail spaces needed flexible, modular furniture for the pop-up tenants and that’s where we came in.

We worked with IYA Studio to design and fabricate a range of shelving, drawers, and benches to work harmoniously within each space. Using birch plywood and coloured Valchromat, the contrasting colours and minimal design provides the backdrop for brand including Ally Capellino, Beauty Shack and Honest Jon's Records. In addition signage was created for House of Cans and Bodega Rita's.

We created a multipurpose event space for KIOSK N1C, the curator of Lower Stable Street and lifestyle magazine who runs a programme for the local community.
