What we did

Aldworth James & Bond were asked by the UK’s largest trade event for architects and designers - 100% Design - to build and install the feature installation above the Central Bar. Our client Media 10’s stunning design featured a series of coloured ‘ripples’ suspended above the floor of Kensington Olympia, reflecting the sensory experience of visiting and networking at the bar. Installed in the heart of the exhibition space, the Central Bar confirms its legendary status as the centre of the design industry.

Aldworth James & Bond’s scope of work included: cutting the curved frames of the rings in our digital fabrication workshop, fitting bendy MDF cladding and an iridescent film to the ring outers, before installing on site. The ring feature will be used at Media 10’s trade show UK Construction Week at the Birmingham NEC and was constructed to be easily dissembled and re-hung.
