This month we’re working on a great and very local project in Lewisham.

This June we’re undertaking some really exciting fabrication work for Lewisham Council. Collaborating with Studio Raw (Deptford neighbours!) Aldworth James & Bond are manufacturing a range of furniture, workstations and movable screens for three affordable and high quality co-working spaces throughout the borough.

First up is the co-working spaces in the new and brilliant PLACE/Ladywell development, on the site of the former Ladywell Leisure Centre. Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the modular units will provide high quality temporary accommodation for homeless families with the ground floor space converted to office and community use, including Dek Ladywell which will provide eight small office units and co-working space.

Dek Catford is spread over two floors of the Old Town Hall building and will provide studios for creative businesses, co-working, small offices for entrepreneurs, start ups and small businesses. Finally the third location – Dek Deptford – will be at the Deptford Lounge, approximately 0.5 miles from our workshops and will provide free drop-in space for entrepreneurs.

We’re really chuffed to be part of a forward-thinking Local Authority that is super local to us here in south east London— it’s a great incubating enterprise for all the creative dudes we have here. Can’t wait to share the finished project with you all. If you are interested in finding out more about the co-working or office space go to the Small Business Centre. For studio space head to Bow Arts.
