One thing that we’re certain is central to our success here at Aldworth James & Bond is the people who work here. It’s a truly special team: skilled, clever and also extremely lovely and fun. We look after our dudes here – we always have done – because without them we just wouldn’t be able to do all the fantastic projects that we do week in, week out.
That’s why we are super proud to announce that Aldworth James & Bond are now fully certified as London Living Wage employers. We pay everyone who works here the London Living Wage, which is a voluntary hourly rate set by the Living Wage Foundation according to the basic cost of living here in London. It’s also very different to the soon-to-be introduced ‘national living wage’ set by the UK government, as that has no London weighting and is set according to median earnings, not how much it costs to live.
It’s a badge of honour and official recognition that we’re an ethical employer, and always have been. We’re happy that our staff have the proper means to provide for themselves and their families.
